Eyes: (As Jack) Blue, (As Beast) Yellow Hair: (As Jack) Brown, (As Beast) Grey Appearance: Wolf-like features with a body full of thick grey fur OVERVIEW Whenever Jack is pumped up with adrenaline, he begins in state of transforming, animorphing every part of his human-self into a wolf-like creature. During times of stress of fear, this transformation proves unreliable, especially at wrong times and places. But over the years, Jack has controlled his transformation ability and can now trigger it by willpower and concentration. The total transformation time is determined by the amount of stress he is in. If he is really pissed off, it can take from 30 seconds all the way to 5 minutes. During the transformation, hair grows all over Jack's body, head to toe much like a wolf. From two legs, Jack will eventually end up on his four lupine jointed legs with a long snout and ears, curved spine, sharp teeth and claws and other normal features of a wolf. Because Jack is half werewolf and half human, he does not possess much of the curse as of the power. Meaning that he is not entirely invulnerable at all. He may be withstand powerful punches and recover quickly. But unlike pure werewolves (whose weaknesses are silver bullets), anything pierced into Jack's hide can fatally injure him like any ordinary man. The injury will still be present even if he reverts back to normal. POWERS Only
when transformed, Beast possesses superhuman strength, agility, reflexes,
endurance, stamina, and enhanced senses, all derived from his partly wolf like supernatural
form. The Beast is able to lift (press) roughly about 15 tons under stable conditions.
But when fully enraged, his maximum strength output can reach up to 18 tons. His
powerful hind leg muscles enable him to leap from the ground to about 22 feet
straight up into the air and over half of a football field. His
reflexes are about three times as fast as human and can run at a peak speed of
45 miles per hour, on four legs, for up to a half hour before tiring. His body
fur acts like an insulation, enabling him to withstand cold and hot temperatures
and his senses
of sight, smell, and hearing are as acute as a wolf's. He can see into the
infrared portion of the spectrum, allowing him to see the heat emissions of
objects or people in total darkness. He is also able to recognize people and
objects by scent, even if that person or object is hidden or in a radius of 40
yards. His hearing is also sensitive enough to detect the sound of a heartbeat
in a cave at a distance of 40 feet. While
in a beast form, his fingernail claws are particularly razor-sharp and strong
enough to drive into a concrete wall. Each claw can be as long as two inches and
grows in an arc. The claws have a liability to break. Though, when occurs, it is
able to grow again during the next transformation. His
teeth too, have same
degree of strength enabling him to gnaw through a block of wood. For a fact of
information, if he bites someone, he does not infect his victim with the
werewolf curse but merely injures them. Unlike other werewolves, Beast is different and he doesn't
transform under a full moon. Since he got used to controlling his inner beast and emotions, Jack retains his full human intellect as the Beast. He is capable of speech during the same period, although speaking is difficult, painful, and often hard to understand, because of his long snout and long, sharp teeth. HISTORY Jack was cursed when he was walking home alone through the park. It was midnight and to add more suspense, it was a full moon. He then heard cries and quickly went to investigate, only to witness a vicious slaying of a man. No, it wasn't Jason Voorhees nor Count Dracula, it was a werewolf. After ripping the guts out of the man, Jack caught the creature's attention. Before he could run away, the werewolf pounced on him, slamming him to the ground. Sniffing its next victim, the werewolf recognized Jack and was clear that he not to be killed, but cursed. Raising one claw from its paws, the beast scratched Jack on the neck and scampered away in the darkness. The last thing Jack remembered was a loud scream of terror coming from his mouth followed by a loud inhuman roar... Of pain and confusion. Of transformation. Waking up the next day, Jack finds himself in his apartment, dressed in tattered and torn clothes. He couldn't seem to remember anything from the night before, except hearing an animal roar. Shrugging, he changed and went to work, forgetting about what had happen to him. At work, he's assigned to a new firm which involves prosecuting a man charged with a series of vicious murders including the one that happened yesterday at the park. Jack is hit by memories, but he still can't put it all together. Little did he know that the X-Forces were assigned to investigate the murder, who there believed was done by the hands of a superhuman or creature. Searching the park, they found pieces of Jack's tattered clothing near the crime scene. To be continued. |
